Board of Directors

President

Will Royall

president@ad2orlando.org

An entrepreneur at heart, I love developing organizations, products, and people. So far I have produced a weekly news show on Fox, produced and sold a record in stores across Florida as a local Orlando / Daytona DJ, ridden a bicycle across the state of Florida to fundraise and raise awareness for people with disabilities (860 miles) with Push America, started a non-profit geared towards the preservation of history, founded two advertising companies (one of which has been sold since), and most recently a real estate company. What's on my plate next? Further developing Ad2 of course!

Jennifer Gammichia

president-elect@ad2orlando.org

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Advertising, I enrolled in the Copywriting Program at the Creative Circus. Since then, I have worked in many a agency with many a title (including a coordinator's coordinator and a second-string coffee runner.) But with age and experience, I have found my niche. I am a proofreader for the Progressive Communications' design department, while also moonlighting as a freelance copywriter (MissWriteNow.us) to a couple big names including Hilton and Precious Moments. This is my third year on the board, and I am just as much an advocate as I was on my first year. GO TEAM!

Immediate Past-President

Kristen Zucks

info@ad2orlando.org

After graduating with Honors from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Advertising in 2003, Kristen scored a position at a small local ad agency and quickly advanced to become Account Executive on the agency's largest accounts and also played an integral role in rebranding the agency. Since March 2006, Kristen has worked in account management at Push, the Orlando-based strategic creative agency. Kristen currently works on a variety of accounts including the national restaurant chain Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill. Although Kristen has developed a passion for restaurant marketing, she has also worked in industries ranging in everything from banking to sports marketing.

Kristen's AAF career began in 2005 when she volunteered to be Programs Chair for Ad 2 Orlando, then serving as Membership Co-Chair in 2006, President-Elect in 2007 and President from January 2008 through July 2009. As President Ad 2 Orlando won 1st place in Government Relations in the National Club Achievement Competition 2 years in a row. In the 2008-2009 year, Ad 2 Orlando placed in 6 of the 8 Club Achievement categories. Kristen has also served as the Government Relations Advisor to the Ad 2 Executive Board and Ad 2 Presidents, giving them tools and pointers to increase government relation activities in their markets. Kristen now serves as Immediate Past-President of Ad 2 Orlando and Treasurer on the Ad 2 National Executive Board.

A sports fan, pescatarian and runner, Kristen is always the first to get the crowd going and loves making new friendships and reaching new goals. Although she was born in New York, Kristen has lost her accent and is proud to be a Florida Gator.

Communications Co-Chair

Shaun Whalen

communications@ad2orlando.org

I grew up on the mean streets of Montreal, Canada. All of my schooling was done in French, except for my last year of high school and my post-secondary education, which were in English. I graduated in 2003 from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Arts and minors in Fine Art and Religious Studies.

I got into advertising because of my interest in art, filmmaking, graphic design and because advertising is the only way to work in all of those fields and still make a good living.

Government Co-Chair

Nichole Griffin

governmentrelations@ad2orlando.org

I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida so naturally I am a die-hard Gator fan. I work at Ypartnership directing the Human Resources department and ensuring compliance with a wide range of human resources-related strategic and regulatory requirements. My most visible responsibility is the recruitment and examination of qualified advertising, marketing and public relations professionals. I look forward to a successful year serving as the Government Relations Co-Chair!

Government Co-Chair

Heather Keroes

governmentrelations@ad2orlando.org

I’m a public relations professional who has worked on everything from Mickey Mouse and Rubik’s Cube to Internet service and Caribbean destinations...and now, the government (kind of), as Ad2’s Government Co-Chair. As part of the marketing team at Push, I manage public relations and assist with marketing and new business activities on behalf of the agency. I look forward to using my PR skills to help keep Ad2 members informed of all government happenings affecting our industry.

As a graduate of UCF, I’m proud to call Orlando my home, but I am originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., which is something most people wouldn’t guess when meeting me. I love the Magic, but I also love the Mets. It’s the best of both worlds.

Education Co-Chair

Kyle Hooper

education@ad2orlando.org

I recently graduated from UCF with a degree in graphic design and a minor in magazine journalism. I’ve been fascinated by making things since I was a child, and luckily I get to make it my job now. When not creating things in the digital world, I make hand-bound books and hand-printed stationary. I’m a Florida native (born in Jacksonville) and have only seen snow once. I’m always looking for new creative outlets, and Ad2 has gotten me in touch with a lot of cool and creative people. I’m excited about putting my talents to use for Ad2 this year and helping students get more involved!

I moved to Orlando in 2008 to work as a Media Planner & Buyer at Push. I am a graduate from Florida State University with a degree in Communications/Advertising. During my time at FSU, I was a member of my local AAF chapter, member of the college ad club as well as on the AAF National Student Advertising Competition where we competed nationally on a Coca-Cola "pitch". As co-chair on the Education board I hope to get local students excited about being involved with Ad 2 and its many talented and amazing young professionals.

Public Service Co-Chair

Wayne Kan

publicservice@ad2orlando.org

I’m currently an art director at Chernoff Newman – Orlando and devout lover of all things graphic design. I have the habit of not letting go of work even after hours, so I often fall asleep thinking about what problems require solving the next day (that’s normal isn’t it?) I think that’s also one of the reasons why Ad 2’s worked so well for me, it’s given me an avenue to do extra work, which is probably what most people try to avoid (HA!). I like to think of work as one big revolving door of challenges and hopefully those are challenges that I can solve with some of the great talent I’ve been fortunate enough to meet in this town and through this organization.

Originally from Cleveland, I moved to Orlando to finish my Bachelor’s degree at UCF. While finishing school, I accepted a position as a Public Relations Intern at Push. Since then, I was brought on full time and have worked my way to my current position as Junior PR Account Executive. I am new to Ad2, but am excited to share my PR background and skills with my fellow Board and members. I have two chihuahuas at home (Bonzai & Mira) who I love more than anything.

Starting my senior year at the University of Central Florida, I am bamboozled by everything that is advertising. I’ll be receiving my degree in Advertising/Public Relations and obtaining a minor in Marketing. This is my second year on the Board of Directors- previously co-chairing Education, to now working with Jillian with Socials! Ad 2 has definitely been more than awesome and helpful to not only my career and gaining experience and knowledge about the industry, but being able to work with and meet so many great people! I’ve done a few internships, most recently at TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles where I fell more in love with advertising and the state of California! It also helped me recognize my desire to pursue Account Planning instead of Account Management! I have no idea what I’ll be doing after school, but do know I’ll be traveling somewhere amazing but until then... let’s get some GREAT socials going, yah?!
